The main goal of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is to improve cybersecurity in the EU by establishing strict standards for digital products and software. It primarily aims to prevent cyber threats that could endanger essential infrastructure, businesses, and the digital economy. Although it indirectly benefits consumers, its focus is on ensuring that manufacturers and developers prioritize security to protect the wider digital ecosystem.

Matthias Kalle Dalheimer is the President and CEO of KDAB. He has actively developed with Qt since 1996 and is a founding member of the KDE project.
