When creating a reusable component sometimes it's useful to put ourselves in the shoes of our users. What do the people using the component expect from the component itself? Well, for a starter: they expect the component to have a reasonable size when created! In this video we're going to discuss how sizing works and how to make components that have adequate width and height out of the box.
In the video we're going to use BorderImage to build a button. If you want to refresh your knowledge about BorderImage, here's the video where we discussed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBDG-QbnacU
We also showcase GammaRay. GammaRay is a free software introspection tool for Qt applications developed by KDAB. You can find more information, including download links, here: https://www.kdab.com/software-technologies/developer-tools/gammaray/
The example code showcased in this video is available here: https://github.com/KDAB/kdabtv
