KDAB helps customers transition legacy systems - whether that means moving from Windows CE to EmbeddedâŻLinux or upgrading an existing software stack. This includes advanced code migration and tooling, as well as setting up complete embedded Linux environments with technologies such as Yocto or Torizon, tailored to the target hardware.
For teams planning the move from WindowsâŻCE, there is a brand new guide on migrating to EmbeddedâŻLinux, outlining key challenges, architecture considerations, and bestâpractice workflows in detail. Itâs available at our booth at Embedded World Hall 4 Booth 302.
Beyond Windows Embedded migrations, KDAB offers expertise in a wide range of modernization projects, including Qt 5 to Qt 6 migrations, legacy framework transitions, and broader codebase and platform modernization efforts.
KDAB supports and maintains CXX-Qt. A set of Rust crates for creating bidirectional Rust â C++ bindings with Qt. It can be used to integrate Rust into C++ applications via CMake, or to build Rust applications with Cargo.
