In this talk, we will explore the process for designing a UX/UI in the embedded space, how we can use Qt and Qt-Creator/Designer as a part of the workflow, and some basic rules for a more pleasing visual experience.
There is a myriad of familiar consumer electronics and home appliances filled with features and corresponding configuration “screens.” “Smart” fridges, stoves, heavy duty trucks, are all suddenly integrated with new features and internet connectivity.
Combined with greater expectations from the consumer as to what constitutes a “tolerable” UI, today’s “smart” devices must also have user interfaces (UI) that are engaging, enticing, and easy to use.
In this talk, we will explore the process for designing a UX/UI in the embedded space. We will try to break it into its main work components and its workflow patterns, and delve into how we can use Qt and Qt-Creator/Designer to be a part of the workflow.
