Why the world is not yet ready for digital networking

Till Adam, Managing Director of KDAB Germany, made it into the German edition of the Huffington Post this month with some interesting reflections on the data security issues we are likely to encounter with the “Internet of Things”, as more and more of our devices (an estimated 20 – 50 billion in the next ten years) are networked.

Points raised include the multi-faceted vulnerability of the consumer – from data privacy to having the brakes hacked on her car – to the implications on international security arrangements, automated production, education policy and a revolution in hiring strategies if we are to learn how to safely navigate this future that threatens to crash into the present at breakneck speed.
