A session for Managers, Decision Makers and Technical Leads
Learning a new programming language is a complex task, even for very experienced programmers. And taking the business decision to move your team into that new language is also complex, with multiple factors to consider. For this reason, we offer you a half-day session aimed at managers, decision-makers and technical leads on why Rust could be the right choice for your next project.
WhyRust? session
In our half-day session on WhyRust? participants will learn what Rust is about, where it is from and where it is going, and whether it is right for you to look at Rust for your next project. This taster session includes two interactive lectures, an extended live programming demonstration, and a Q&A session. We also provide a list of resources and places you can go for support and advice on taking your next steps. All training sessions are conducted remotely using modern video-conferencing tools to ensure the best learning experience.
Learning Goals
After attending this course, you will be able to answer the following questions:
- Why are people suggesting switching to Rust?
- Where did Rust come from and how is it governed?
- Who else is using Rust today?
- Should we switch to Rust?
- What are the advantages?
- What are the disadvantages?
- What is it going to cost?
- What resources are available if I wish to learn more, or to train my team?
