Setting up Kinect for programming in Linux (part 2)

KDAB engineer, Benoit Dumas, continues his description of how to set up the Kinect* for programming in Linux. The second part of the tutorial describes how to use Qt to interact with the device.

The tutorial teaches how to interface Qt with the Kinect via the OpenKinect and OpenNi/Nite API’s. The result is a simple Qt program that allowing the user to control the Kinect, tracking the hand and detecting when it makes a “push” gesture.
