Marshmallow Entertainment System
The Marshmallow Entertainment System (or MES for short) is an open-source game console project composed primarily out of a Raspberry Pi, a custom Linux distribution and the Marshmallow Game Engine. Marshmallow is not your run of the mill game engine, it’s intended to be integrated into any game project. This allows game developers to customize the engine itself so that it can fit the game’s exact needs.
The project is currently spearheaded by one of KDAB’s software engineers, Guillermo A. Amaral. He has received much positive attention for his DIY console kit and for good reason.
