Highlights of 2014
In February KDAB once more exhibited at Embedded World Nuremberg, the biggest embedded event of the year in Europe, where Qt is rapidly becoming a leading standard. Our QNX/Qt-powered Marine Buck demo got a lot of attention, as did the CE 2013 on a Toradex board. Look out for us in Hall 4 at EWN next year. Stand 4-610.
This Spring we launched our Qt on Android tour, kicking off with Bogdan Vatra’s webinar, followed by his series of seminars, visiting London, Berlin and Paris in May, then New York, San Francisco and Chicago in June.
Bogdan was among the many contributors to the excellent KDAB blogs throughout the year, which included two series featuring OpenGL by Sean Harmer:OpenGl in Qt 5.1 and the latest Overview od Qt3D. Other notable series included: Scaleable UIs in QML by Nuno Pinhero and the very popular series on the development of Slideviewer – a QML based presentation program introduced by Jesper Pedersen.
As well as delivering regular upgrades to KDAB’s ever popular GammaRay, the ultimate debugging companion, with GammaRay 2.2.0 released in November, KDAB also unveiled a new fixed price service in 2014: Fix MyQtBug Check it out, if you haven’t already.
Last but not least, October 6 – 8 saw us delivering the wildly successful Qt Developer Days Europe with ten sponsors, a stellar program and even karaoke and singing girls to keep the Qt enthusiasts who came along more than happy. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
See you all in 2015!!!
