Free and Open Source Software licensing models and especially software compliance questions are complex topics for which clear and concrete information and guidance is hard to come by.
To address this, the Software Compliance Academy, with its team of recognised experts in this field, offers an intensive two day training seminar in collaboration with KDAB. The training will be hosted at KDAB’ Berlin training center on June 14th and 15th, 2018.
The focus will be on legal and strategic aspects of Free and Open Source Software licensing models and related compliance process management aspects.
Shane Coughlan, Project Director Open Chain at the LinuxFoundation will present the current status and opportunities of the OpenChain project, the first initiative to provide a standardised compliance management process for the software supply chain.

Rechtliche und strategische Grundlagen zu den unterschiedlichen Free and Open Source Software Lizenzmodellen und Umsetzung entsprechender Compliance Prozesse im Unternehmen.
Das zweitägige Programm setzt einen besonderen Schwerpunkt auf die rechtliche Analyse und entsprechende Prozessgestaltung im Unternehmen und wird dazu das OpenChain Projekt als ersten Ansatz eines standardisierten Compliance Management Prozesses vorstellen.
Die Veranstaltung wird in deutscher Sprache durchgeführt, die Teilnehmerzahl ist begrenzt. Der Programmpunkt “FOSS Compliance: Verantwortlichkeiten und Prozesse” wird in englischer Sprache referiert, sämtliche Fragen und Beiträge in der Diskussion können auf deutsch gestellt werden.
