Save the Date: KDAB Training Day 2026 | Mark your calendar for 26 October 2026 - the day before Qt World Summit 2026 (Berlin, Germany, 27-28th October2026) - when KDAB will host its next Training Day in Berlin. Following the successful format of last year’s edition, the event will again offer a full day of in-depth, hands-on training delivered by KDAB experts. While the 2026 agenda is still being finalized, you can take a look at last year’s program to get an idea of the scope and depth of topics covered.
As per last time, there will be individual training-only tickets as well as combi tickets that include both the KDAB Training Day and Qt World Summit 2026 access. More details coming soon - stay tuned! | | | | |

Meeting C++ 2025 VideosIvan Čukić's Talk Released | Talks from Meeting C++ 2025 are being published one by one on the conference’s YouTube channel, offering a great opportunity to revisit last year’s highlights.
We’d like to spotlight a talk by Ivan Čukić (KDAB), released in January, which takes a fresh look at C++20 coroutines beyond async and concurrency. Focusing on std::generator, Ivan reframes coroutines as a general flow-control tool - much like loops or functions - and demonstrates how they can simplify real-world code in surprising ways.
Alongside the videos, slides for all talks are also available, making this an excellent resource for anyone wanting to deepen their modern C++ understanding. | | (Don't) use coroutines for this - Ivan Čukić - Meeting C++ 2025 |

New Video Series: Getting Started with KDSoap | KDAB has launched a new YouTube series dedicated to KDSoap, a Qt-based library for SOAP communication. The first three episodes introduce the fundamentals of using KDSoap for both client and server applications, covering synchronous calls for non-GUI tools, asynchronous job-based communication, and implementing SOAP services with kdsoap-server. A practical starting point for developers working with SOAP in Qt-based systems. |
|---|
| | The KDSoap series begins with an introduction to the library, explaining its role in Qt applications and providing an overview of SOAP communication for clients and servers. |
|---|
The second KDSoap video shows how to use the kdwsdl2cpp code generator to simplify making SOAP calls from Qt applications — though, there’s a twist to watch out for. |
| |
|---|
| | The third KDSoap video demonstrates how to use the generated job classes to make non-blocking (asynchronous) SOAP calls, keeping your GUI responsive while communicating with services. |
